Labrador Retriever / Mixed (short coat) Dog

Cookie the Dog needs a home

Meet Cookie a fun-loving, energetic, female, lab mix puppy who is approximately 1 year old and 48 lbs! Cookie was scheduled to be put down due to overcrowding at a Texas shelter when she was rescued by Project Hope Animal Rescue. She is housebroken and crate trained. She loves to play with the other foster dog but needs a fenced in yard. She does walk on a leash but needs training to learn to heel and not pull. She is very smart and learned to sit within 2 days and has almost learned to give her paw on request. She loves treats and balls and chew toys especially any type of tug of war toy. She does not like squeak toys. She has not been around cats, but she has been around my 3 grandchildren ages 3-8. She loved them all; but, because of her high energy, she would probably be better around children 8 and older. She enjoys chest and belly rubs and lying with her head in your lap and giving you as many kisses as you want as you can tell by the picture.
